Beth in BBC Top 10 Shortlist (4th December, 2006)

The BBC have unveiled a shortlist of 10 sportsmen and women who are in contention for the Sports Personality of the Year award. Included in the list with Beth Tweddle are two British boxers, Joe Calzaghe and Ricky Hatton, Formula One driver Jenson Button, golfer Darren Clarke, cyclist Nicole Cooke, tennis player Andy Murray, cricketer Monty Panesar, equestrian rider Zara Phillips and darts player Phil Taylor.

The winner will be decided by a telephone and text message vote and will be announced during the live televised ceremony from the NEC in Birmingham, on BBC1 from 7pm on Sunday, December 10.
